In addition to the higher monthly payment and the $10 monthly fee, my interest rate went from 3.99 to 5.79. I have never been late and have always paid much more than the minimum payment. I have excellenct credit but I am considering allowing the account to go into default. The people bailed the banks out and this is the thanks we receive. Did anyone receive prior notice? I didn't. Please write to your congress person and senators. We can't allow Chase to get away with this. If allowed to do this now, what will stop them from increasing it further later down the road.
