Chase Bank has imposed a $10 service charge on account which they aquired from Bank One. There is no provision for that in my original agreement. They have also increased my minimum payment from 2% to 5%.
I have never been late in any payments because the minimum payment is drawn out from my bank checking aaccount. Although my original agreement with Bank One permitted this minimum payment increase, there was no such provision in my balance transfer agreement and I have made no other purchases. In fact I specificaly inquired as to the minimum payment and was assured that it was 2% of the balance due. I believe these actions to be in violation of the truth in lending act.
Also Chase bank and most other credit card companies intentionaly mail their statements late with the direct purpose of making it difficult to meet the payment due date so that they can increase the interest rate due to late payment.
In all these are predatory practices.
