A few of you have mentioned the site that I founded to fight abusive treatment by credit card companies, ChangeInTerms.com. Thank you for rewarding our efforts to consolidate news and information about the issue with Chase, by virtue of your referrals.

We are now tracking 12 class action lawsuits (all on the site under the links list: "Chase Class Action Lawsuits"). As an entrepreneurship professor, one of my biggest concerns is the impact on small businesses, which is discussed in a publication on the site entitled, "Credit Cards and Small Business Usage Report."

I am all for class action lawsuits regarding this matter. But if you are a concerned citizen relative to the economy as a whole, we cannot wait for these cases to be adjudicated through a legal process that is typically slow. We must fight in the media, and by putting pressure on our elected officials to act now (and doing so certainly will contribute to the efforts of those firms that are pursuing a legal approach, as per many lawyers with whom we have had conversations and are now listed on the site).
