Your Privacy On This Site
What personally identifiable information is collected on this site?
For those individuals who wish to register as users for the purpose of commencing requests for professional services RFPs or purchasing (and trial of) legal forms, we require they provide us with information through a user registration questionnaire collecting such data as name, zip code, and e-mail address. The user's IP address is also recorded during the user registration process and appended to said user's profile. User profiles stay in our database for one year and then are automatically deleted unless the user specifically requests that the profile remain in our database for a longer period. We use the user profile data solely for user support, site administration and internal traffic / sales reports. It is not shared with third parties. When users purchase legal forms with us, credit card information is submitted (unless paypal is used to complete the transaction). We forward user credit card information to Authorize.net® without recording it in our database. To repeat, we do not store customer credit card data online. For professionals charged for premium listings as part of our RFP system, we store their credit card data for those select individuals offline at the offices of MedLawPlus.com® in St. Louis, MO.
Do you sell or otherwise release user data such as email addresses to third parties?
We never sell or give user data to third-parties with one exeption for our online RFP process. In the case of user initiated professional services RFPs, the user selects up to seven professionals who can receive data about their case plus the user's first name, city of residence and email address (IP address not given). We only release user data to professionals identified by the user.
What anonymous information is collected on this site?
Anonymous clickstream information is collected for every visitor to this site. This includes pages viewed, date & time, and browser type. IP numbers are not stored, but are temporarily used to determine domain type and in some cases, geographic region. With the exception of those user actions described below, there is no association made by system between IP addresses and a visitor's identity. This information is used solely on an internal basis as business management resource.

When are user IP addresses collected and also identifiable with specific users?

Also, when a user initiates an Ask A Lawyer question, Ask A Plastic Surgeon question, or user comments anywhere on the web site, the user's IP address is recorded and stored with the database record for this question or comment. User questions and comments are stored indefinitely in our system.
How is user specific IP address information used?
